This article is about how Obama fans are disappointed that he didn't address Trump at all in his first speech since he has been out of office. People think he is holding back. His supporters want him to put Trump in his place. They say they want him to be an "action figure" for them, but he is just a human being. They describe him as the guy who is one to bring people together and that is why he isn't starting anything with Trump. In my opinion, it really isn't Obama's place to deal with Trump. He is no longer the president and in reality, what he says doesn't matter anymore. Plus, Obama was in office 8 years and he doesn't need to get caught up in political drama anymore, especially with Trump.
I think it was a smart decision to withhold statements about Trump, it shows that Obama is being the bigger person here. Trump's known for tweeting about anyone or anything that opposes him, and Obama making aggressive statements would accomplish nothing
While it is frustrating for Obama fans to sit back and watch Trump destroy what is in place there is nothing more that they can do besides being involved. Obama isn't able to do anything either, while he served as president for eight years, his time is over. So we have to wait and see what happens, stay up to date and get involved. Hopefully good checks and balances will be kept and we wont have to worry about anything getting to out of hand. Obama is being mature and doing the right thing as should we.
Trumps parents and wife are legal immigrants, which aren't the ones he is trying to get out. Yes, a lot of his employees are immigrants but we don't know if they came here illegally. It says he is wanting to kick out the ones who came here illegally, which is not his family and employees. Not all immigrants are illegal. Also, Trump usually points out when he talks about immigrants that he is talking about the illegal ones. I think he is most focused on getting the ones who commit crimes out. However, I think he should also be focusing on helping innocent ones get their citizenship. It really isn't that stupid in my opinion to get criminals out.
I agree with that he should kick out the ones that committed a crime. They are the "bad apples" and are making the innocent immigrants look bad. I think that would help America. I agree that he should help the immigrants that didn't do anything wrong get their citizenships too.
This article is criticizing Trump's trade policy, saying that even though he bashes overseas products, he still uses them, according to the author. His administration said that it would not seek to make big changes to the North American Free Trade Agreement, what Trump called "The worst trade deal in the history of trade deals, maybe ever". Also, his proposal for a big border tax is going nowhere because of disagreements between Republicans. He's quickly learning that trade policy isn't as easy as he thought it was. He wants to cut the corporate tax rate to 15% from 35% , stating that he wanted to deliver "maybe the biggest tax cut we've ever had".
A lot of things that Trump had said during election season have been about the terrible things other presidents have done. Saying how bad this country is and ultimately wanted to make America great "again". Once he took office he realized how difficult this actually is. Creating something that will work with everyone and not hurt the government and economy is very difficult. Trade deals is one of those things that are difficult to do.
In Browne's article he addresses the two US service members who's lives were taken due to battling ISIS. He states that he is very upset about the loss and his thoughts goes out the the families of the brave soldiers. while this may be sad, it is necessary to keep out country safe. The faster we get this war over with the faster we can be at peace. War does mean sacrifice and it is awful that people have to loose their lives but one day it'll be for a greater good.
He hates illegals both his wife and his parents are legal immagrints not illegals like a bit of a chunk of the Latino poulation in America is. We have policies, that must be followed. They're not harsh they're just and they are there to keep all of the citizens of America safe and with equal opportunity. No matter of your black, white, Mexican, Somalian, or whatever. If you are legal you are ok if you are not bye bye. America has rules. And thank God they are finally being enforced.
Now is time for the truth to come out. My free speech is in danger, the America I was born into would never let this happen. I have a unalienable right to speak my ming. And liberals think that if it offends them they can beat me and even kill me. For what reason, it is because I said something they did not like. People are saying not my president, I'm saying not my generation because I was not raised to kill somebody over words, I am not losing my free speech.
This article talked about the 8 year assault on the second amendment being over. Federal agencies will no longer be coming after law-abiding gun owners. The gun topic is a controversial topic because the democrats believe there should be more regulations while the republicans think there should be less regulations on gun laws. Trump is taking steps to decreasing gun laws and regulations. Hopefully these steps will not effect the shooting and death rate in America.
Personally, I do not care about the gun regulations or policies because it is not something that affects me. I do not see why there should be less regulation on gun policies though, there should always be more and this is the democrat in my poking out. I do agree that hopefully Trump's steps will not negatively effect the shooting and death rate in America.
There are many people who die every day from gun violence in America. Most of these people involved in these situations do not even legally own the gun? There aren't any reasons for the need of guns unless it's to protect yourself but you can protect yourself in many other ways. Not just anyone should have the right to a gun, a serious weapon. We need more regulations and gun laws.
I do not see why Trump would learn from his mistakes. I mean considering everything that happened during elections and everything he said and did wrong, he still won the presidency. People wanted "change" and Trump was just that, so if he continues his idiotic method of ways and continues to do things that make people like me unhappy, yet other people happy, then why would he do otherwise? He would not. If he thinks it's okay, genuinely if he thinks this, then he is going to keep doing it.
For awhile now they have been trying to get rid of Obamacare and now they made a Trumpcare which is bad in my opinion. It will health insurance for 24 million Americans, many poor and unhealthy citizens. This is not right these people didn't do anything wrong why should they lose their healthcare. Also they can't afford insurance that is why they had Obamacare. What will these people do? I don't like what President Trump is doing.
//www.cnn.com/2017/04/25/opinions/fdr-amazing-record-opinion-gergen/index.html This article was written by David Gergen and is about how President Trump has to envy one of our nations greatest presidents, Franklin D. Roosevelt. FDR got the country out the Great Depression with hopes of a better future and portraying a positive attitude and outlook on life, and by portraying a sense of confidence he mde the country feel they were in safe nature and in good hands. Many say no other president could have gotten the country out the that as quickly as FDR. This, FDR accomplished within his first 100 days of being president of the U.S. What has Trump accomplished? The whole article is about things FDR accomplished in his first 100 days, while Trumps 100 days is up tomorrow and all he has accomplished is putting out country under an enormous amount of stress.

DeleteI thought the same thing Jimmy did. Obama looked so mature and smart to completely ignore Trump. He proved that he's the bigger person.
