A few weeks ago there was something going on with the internet. Many people realized that twitter wasn't working but what they didn't realize is that is was an attack on the internet. The expert who states that it was an attack on the internet also claims he predicted the attack a week earlier. The expert says that who ever is responsible could possible be capable of a lot more such as taking down the internet entirely. It seems like its impossible but its quite the opposite. The attacker very easily can make themselves invisible to the internet and get into any site and hack it. Experts believe the hacker was a nation and all they can do is wait and be alert for any other threats.

    1. It's pretty concerning to think about someone or some people having that amount of power in their hands. Especially in the world today, we rely on the internet for communication, and we do many important things on the internet such as transactions, managing finances. An attack could possibly leak databases and provide hackers with access to all of our private information. It would also knock out a lot of global communication which would be catastrophic

  2. http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/02/sport/world-series-game-7-chicago-cubs-cleveland-indians/index.html

People have been talking about the world series for weeks now. Indians have won the first couple of games and had a 3-1 lead against the Cubs. As the games went on, the Cubs started winning. Instead of the Indians blowing the Cubs out of the water, Cubs made a come back, and the World Series went on to game 7. The excitement began to happen because the Cubs haven't won a World Series in 108 years. The Cubs were in the lead 6-3 bottom of eighth during the final game. Hopes of Indians winning at that point were slim. The only hopes were if someone hits a home run, and before you know it, Rajai Davis hits a home run, and ties the game up 6-6. The game was incredibly close all throughout the ninth and tenth inning. The Cubs scored 2 runs, and Indians only got 1 run before they had 3 outs. "Man, this one about made me pass out," Zobrist said. The stadium went wild.

Mr. Stephen Heydemann the author of this article does not understand why the Unites States is not putting Russia in its place showing them that there are consequences for supporting the Rogue Syrian Regime Assad. Mr. Heydemann also does not understand why people are recognizing Assad as a form of government when it is in fact not.

  5. http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/polls-trump-ahead-arizona-texas-deadlocked-georgia-n677626

While Trump is ahead in Arizona and Texas, him and Hillary are still neck and neck in Georgia; he is ahead by one point. Georgia is more competitive than Arizona because the African American vote in Georgia is higher. African Americans make up 29% of the vote and are more likely to vote for Hillary. In Arizona there are more Latinos which make up 21% of the vote, and they are more likely to vote for Hillary too. However, all three states allow early voting and Trump is ahead in all of them. In Arizona 58% have already voted, in Georgia 40% have already voted, and in Texas 54% have already voted. With the rest of the votes though, they could go to Hillary, so polls and early voting results could change on Election Day and Hillary could lead.

Hillary has recently shown to be very close in polls to Trump. Although she has a good chance of winning the election, the reopened investigations on her might stop her. On October 28th, the FBI reopened the investigation claiming to have found thousands of new emails that could potentially have important information that could be used against her. The investigations have been opened very close to election day, possibly showing that the emails could be very serious. If Hillary was to win the election and then be removed from office afterwards from the investigations, who would take her place? The Clinton Foundation is also being accused of bribery for helping the UBS avoid the IRS, increasing their donations to the foundation ten times as much.

    1. That is crazy! I can't believe that America has chosen these to finalists. I can't imagine what this country will turn into after one of them becomes president because clearly neither of them have good history. Its also interesting to see how technology has become a huge part of our lives. If a presidential election happened one hundred years ago, we wouldn't be worrying about what the presidents said in their alone time, we wouldn't see any provocative posts, and rumors. Because technology is growing, candidates have to be extra careful about anything they do, act, or say, because the crowd could easily pick it up, and make a huge deal out of it.

  7. http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/americans-love-early-voting-and-it-might-help-clinton/

Early voting in the U.S could possibly have an effect on who will win the election. 37 states currently offer early voting. About a third of voters in 2012 had voted early. According to the article, early voting can have a slight affect on the outcome of the election. Could having more democratic states offering early voting and less Republican states offering it have an affect on how many votes they will get? Early voting plays a bigger role in "battleground states". 80% of Colorado's votes were put in early in 2012 and 56% of voters were early in Florida.

WW3 is a very high possibility and with government defunding and everything the military will have no way to assist if article 5 is established. NATO does not have the militant capability to combat a large scale threat like Russia. The iminent capability that there will be another large scale conflict in this time is a rather frightening thought. Nuclear weapons could be a possibility but the nuclear treaty may come into play on that part but another man to man, tanks lining up kind of war may happen in this time. Hope and pray it does not but if it does all of NATO has to be ready especially the biggest contender the U.S. America is focusing on the inside when we are not realizing that our problems may well be on the outside as well. Maybe not this year maybe not next year but during this generations lifetime there will be a conflict.

I agree, either way stricter gun control is going to happen. Although the AR-15 is not a military used weapon was never issued to the military never will be the restrictions will never end. Gun laws should be changed to only the Mentally ill, and Felons should be excluded from having a firearm. Even so the gun violence will never cease to be, criminals will still get guns. People will still get shot, cops will still shoot people by doing there job. Although limiting who can purchase and own a firearm may drastically affect this number, but the people who already have guns let them keep them if they do not meet those standards.

  10. This article was very interesting to read. It is so sad to hear that this happened. I can't believe that someone could possibly have a mind set to be able to do this to someone else. I would never have the same mentality as her, I wouldn't be able to keep the baby for the simple fact that it would just remind me of what happened. I know that the baby did nothing wrong, but not everyone thinks the same. It could give you anxiety or anything else. She is a very strong women and her story is incredible. This article needs to be seen because it personally changed my view on certain things a bit.

This op-ed explains how humans need to be needed. It shows that being rich and top class, you can still be unhappy and feel unwanted. With the election going on and life in general people in America are getting stressed out and getting anxiety about the future for themselves and America. Humans feeling unwanted is not a good thing and it isn't like we need to be selfish or spoiled, we simply just need to feel like we are worth something. Studies show that people who like to help others are happier because they realize that they are the same as others and there is an equality between them. We just need to realize that no matter what, we are wanted in someway by someone.

    1. Yes! So many people think that if you're rich and upper class you have no right to be upset about anything. I totally agree with you because none of it would even matter if we had no one or felt alone. And yes everyone is being affected negatively because of this election, rich or poor it affects everybody.

This article talks about Donald Trump and the Republican party. The author Peter Wehner talks about how Donald Trump got to where he is now. He talks about the forces that led to Trump's rise, like conspiracy theories, recklessness, and appeal to xenophobia. The author talks about how we need to confront those things. The author also talks about how if Trump doesn't win, the Republicans can't just ignore this election year, that they need to reconsider and refine their ideals, because Donald Trump somehow became the republican nominee for president. I think a lot of the points the author makes are valid, like the appeal to xenophobia and the political recklessness. I don't know why someone as temperamental and reckless and Trump can appeal to so many appeal, as well as the demonizing of immigrants. America was funded on the idea of freedom of opportunity and I feel like everyone should have a chance at that without being talked down upon
